Kampala, Uganda – September 5, 2026 – What started as a vision to equip the next generation turned into a powerful outpouring of purpose, worship, and connection as the much-anticipated Youth Summit, organized by Tr. Susan and Ev. Patrick Tusubira, took over King's Kids Valley School.

The one-day fully packed event, themed "Holistic Learning & Street Smart," lived up to its promise of being educative and lots of fun, drawing hundreds of young people aged 12 and above from across the region. True to the organizers' word, entry and all eats and drinks were completely FREE, ensuring no child was left out.

An Experience, Not Just an Event

From the moment the doors opened at 9:30 AM, the atmosphere at King's Kids Valley School was electric. The day kicked off with high-energy ice breakers and exciting team challenges that had the youth bonding instantly.

The program was a perfect balance of fire and substance. Powerful sessions of praise, worship, and ministration set the tone, followed by life-changing teaching and inspiration from the ministers and gospel singers present. Among the distinguished invited speakers and ministers who blessed the gathering were Ev. Samson Forchrist Bukenya of East African Gospel, Pr. Wilson, Mr Mugabi Isaac, Pr Muwanguzi, and Tr. Roset and  Pr. Serulyo.  The young attendees were not just spectators but active participants, engaging in various fun activities, competing for exciting prizes, and making new friends.

A Message of Purpose

At the heart of the summit was a clear and bold message drawn from 1 Timothy 4:12: "Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example..."

The speakers challenged the youth to grow in wisdom, purpose, and impact, urging them to be strong, bold, and unapologetically themselves while shining the light of Jesus in their schools and communities.

“We are completely overwhelmed by the response," said an elated Tr. Susan. "We prayed for a harvest, and God delivered. Seeing these young people engage, worship, and receive the Word with open hearts is all the reward we needed. This was not just an event—it was truly an experience."

Ev. Patrick Tusubira, added, "The vision was to build a generation that is street-smart yet rooted in Christ. Today, we saw that vision come to life. We are so grateful to everyone who supported us and to the young people who came ready to learn and grow."

Looking Ahead

As the summit wrapped up at 5:00 PM, the energy was still high, with youth taking photos with their new friends and winning prizes. With a clear mandate to Learn, Grow, Connect, Have Fun, and Make an Impact, the inaugural Youth Summit has set a high standard.

Given the massive success and the visible transformation in the lives of the attendees, it is safe to say that this will not be the last. The organizers have already hinted at even bigger plans for next year.

For the youth of Uganda, September 5th, 2026, will be remembered as the day they chose to be strong, bold, and different.
